Bruce W. Bendix

Bruce W. Bendix is the Founder and Managing Director of Integrative Business Consulting (formerly Eco Squared Consulting).  He has 25 years of  strategy  and management  experience as a consultant and as an executive. He was one of two Senior Executives at Accenture to lead their growth and innovation strategy practice.  He left Accenture in 2007 to start his own firm focused on innovation for sustainability. 

Bruce  has provided strategy consulting  to over 30 clients in a variety of industries.  This includes computers, software, newspapers, publishing, retail, telecommunications, banking, food distribution, printing, graphics equipment, aerospace, clean-tech , chemicals, waste management, and  utilities.  He has written several published articles and was a finalist for the Ken Ernst  Award for outstanding thought leadership at Accenture.

Prior to his 14 year consulting career with Accenture, Bruce  held a number of executive product marketing positions for manufacturers of technically intensive products and provided consulting to similar companies with McKinsey & Company.

Bruce  has formal and informal affiliations with several organizations that promote sustainability including, the Chicago Sustainability Business Alliance, Business for Social Responsibility, The Sustainability Institute at Illinois Institute of Technology, and The Fowler Center for Sustainability at Case-Western University. 

Bruce  holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

Bruce is a member of the faculty at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management where he teaches courses in Sustainable Business and Innovation & Risk

He is the former Board President of the Home of the Sparrow, a local transitional shelter program that provides housing and supportive services for women and children that are homeless.

 Bruce and his wife Peyton have two boys and live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago
